JULIE VALIN is a literary harlot and a professional collector and styler of books on her nightstand. She has been writing poetry since AC/DC was played at school dances, and her work has appeared in numerous publications and collections, including Gasconade Review, Red Fez, Chiron Review, and the Punk Rock Chapbook series by Epic Rites Press. Her most recent book of poetry- Songs for Ghosts - was released in April 2022 by Meadowlark Press. She lives in the foothills of Northern California. 

WILLIAM TAYOR JR. lives and writes in San Francisco. He is the author of numerous books of poetry, and a volume of fiction. His work has been published widely in journals across the globe, including Rattle, The New York Quarterly, and The Chiron Review. He was a recipient of the 2013 Kathy Acker Award, and edited Cocky Moon: Selected Poems of Jack Micheline (Zeitgeist Press, 2014). Pretty Things to Say, (Six Ft. Swells Press, 2020) is his latest collection of poetry. A new collection is forthcoming from Roadside Press.

MATT AMOTT is a poet, musician and photographer who rambles around the Pacific Northwest. He is co-founder of Six Ft. Swells Press and has been published in numerous collections as well as three books of his own, THE COAST IS CLEAR (Six Ft. Todd Cirillo, Wolfgang Carstens and William Taylor Jr. perform a high wire act of the heart with drinks in hand, humor and heartbreak in their pocket. The poems will shine under the neons in a place of no last call, open bar tabs and true lies. This is poetry for non-poetry lovers. The event is free, there will be drinks and Poetry will be resurrected this Good Friday. Mardi Gras was a champion time of parades, parties and best friend good times which rolled right into St. Patrick's Day festivities of more parades, parties and catching cabbages which danced right into Super Sunday and the exquisite, and only in New Orleans, Mardi Gras Indians in their so pretty suits and throughout that time there were photographs and inspirations but not so much poetry but that is about to change my friends...the poets, publishers and pirates of Six Ft. Swells Press have spent the last year planning, plotting, reconfiguring and readying the next After-Hour adventures on the dark seas of poetry.

We begin with our new website, where all things Six Ft. Swells and After-Hours will reside. We have worked hard to create the website and get the word out and appreciate your support and presence at the party.

Spring is the appropriate time to launch this website, after all we are children of the sun, happiest with water all around us or our toes in the warm sand of a faraway place where only the sound of birds, dolphins and rum bottles rule. We have exciting projects planned with the press and would love to have you onboard. Six Ft.
